Biosilk silk therapy = heat protector?

I've seen this question asked before, but nobody seemed to answer the question, they just recommend other products.. so..

im trying to grow my hair out so i dont want to damage it but i like to use my flat iron, so i thought biosilk would be good but im not sure..

does it actually protect your hair? or is it just a shine serum?

thanks! =]

Biosilk silk therapy = heat protector?
Boisilk is good, but it has alot of alcohol in it so it can actually be drying on your hair. Try the CHI silk infusion, it is made by the same company but doesn't have the alcohol in it and has hair protien (keratin) in it. Use it before you blow dry and before you flat iron. Also, CHI also makes a great flat iron spray to help protect your hair! Good Luck!
Reply:try something with uv protection
Reply:if it doesnt say that it will protect your hair, then it most likely won't. try TRESemme, its been working great on my hair :]
Reply:Biosilk is not healthy for your hair. It act as if it does help because your hair appears to be shinny, but it actually is very drying because of the alcohol content. If you want a heat protector try Wella, Thermal protecting spray. You can pick it up at most beauty supply stores. It's about $16. Or from my spray bottle: 1-800-935-5273/Canada 1-800-419-3552. Don't use Biosilk!!
Reply:biosilk does miracles
