I recently just receieved an email from a beauty site im a member to and they sent an email warning about how the CHI flat irons are being counterfited and sold to the public. I compared the differences in how the authentic CHI looks and the counterfit one. I realized that i have a counterfit! I paid the same amount as the real one and I bought it online. I just want to warn you if your thinking about purchasings the CHI look at the following link to see the characteristics of an authentic CHI! =)

i just took another look at the one i was going to buy, and it turns out it's a fake!
you saved me alot of money XD
Reply:i know this doesn't answer your question, BUT... chi irons are not made of 100% porcelain therefore they ware down to the metal and can snag on to your hair.
