My hair was a dark auburn before I had - um- "color impairment." (I'd be more salt than pepper if I left it untreated). I'm trying to return to the reddish brown I had in my teens and twenties, and so many products strip out the red. Will "biosilk" brand products strip out the red? What experience do you have with this product or other products that do NOT strip the red?

The newest technologies in shampoos are the sulfate-free types.They are not as harsh and stripping as most shampoos.Red is by far the hardest color to maintain.There are many products better than biosilk,but at least you are considering a professional product.Ask your stylist if they handle any sulfate-free shampoos.
Reply:I color my have a vivid magenta which fades very fast.I have found the CHI color line the best for keeping my color looking great for the longest.
