Would it be okay to use on thin fly away hair that needs shine? My hair isn't necessarily dry, it's normal but needs shine and to be detangled a lot. Plus a TON of flyaways.

Definitely. You will want to make sure that you do not use too much, because that will make your hair look greasy. What I have found to work is the following:
Put some Biosilk on your actual hairbrush...Then brush your hair. This will get the knots out. Make sure you don't put too much on the brush either. If you do, it will look like one section of your hair is greasy.
