Ahhh! hair help!?

i have very curly hair that i straighten once a week.

but when i straighten it, it looks rather dull.

i dont get it bcuz i have all salon prouducs[ redken, CHI, aveda, biosilk] and i also have a professional flat iron [sedu]

what am i doing wrong? i want to have gorgeous silky, shiny hair but how do i get that?

Ahhh! hair help!?
Use products that make your hair silky and soft. I like Porosity Control by Roux.

Next, detangle and let your hair get almost dry (you can put hair into a ponytail or two for this), but still has some dampness to it. Blowdry in sections. Spray in a few sprays of glosser (any reputable kind will do) about 10 inches from head and comb through to distribute well. This will preserve maximum shine and manageability. Then flat iron. This usually does the trick. A fresh trim helps the look too! Good luck!

Reply:may sound crazy but add 1 egg 2 1 cup shampoo rinse w/ COLD water or the egg will good n ur hair really works trust me!!!
Reply:I know what you mean, I have curly hair and occasionally straighten it. I dont buy into the product fads, though I do use a CHI straightener. Anyways heres my regimen that works for me!:

Shampoo with Baby shampoo [its MILD to the dry curls but removes build-up exceptionally well- plus it smells GREAT!]

Condition with Pantene. [pretty simply huh?]

Towel Dry and rub in dime sized amount of Smoothing Milk by Garnier. [works like a charm!]

Blow dry

LIGHTLY spray in SHINE! by VO5

Flat iron

And good to go! Hope that works for you =]
Reply:Well. Maybe you're not using the RIGHT salon products? Get something that you can use right before you straighten your to add shine along with your ceramic straightener.

If your clearly unsure, talk to your salon peoples.
Reply:i just straighten and blow dry my hair pieces at a time it flattens more and makes it soft....
Reply:i agree with atoli...as a hairdresser you might not be using the right products...get spray shine or super skinny serium from paul mitchell spray 1 or 2 pumps in your HANDS AFTER you iron rub in your hands and distribute through your hair starting in the middle and the excess goes on top...talk about shine baby!! but never greasy that's why you have to put it in your hands then run your fingers through your hair...ya, you will get the shine!! remember do it after you iron..trust me...good luck!
Reply:get a voluminizing spray or gel. if that dont work then go to a hair stylist and ask them for help.
