What hair product is better?

Sammy hair products or biosilk. pleas give me the positives and neg of both. If both are crap whats better.

What hair product is better?
All hair products are pretty much the same,Professional Products

I like most of them.Sammy or Biosilk/ What do you want to achieve with a product/Straight hair smooth and silky, that's Biosilks ,if you are trying for good hold or styling,Maybe Sammy.

See what i mean,it depends on what the product is to do for you.

I love Matrix the entire line, and I love Biosilk, because my hair

is thick and natural body.I like to smooth hair out.
Reply:You betcha, good luck with your products and your styling. Report It

Reply:I haven't worked with Sammy, but Biosilk is a good product, of course it all depends on what works for YOU.
Reply:I hate Samy hair products. I used them once, and it made my hair smell like wet dog, and left it crispy and dry, and I even used the formula for added moisure. I've never used it again since then.

I've always had great luck with Biosilk products. I have thick, wavy hair, and Biosilk definitely keeps it under control. It's worth the expensive price tag, trust me. Mostly because y ou won't believe how soft and silky your hair feels.
Reply:Biosilk I love Biosilk!!!

I get my hair colored at HCX. I love the way my hair looks after?

styling. It looks so shiny and healthy. I use the biosilk like the stylist does but my hair never comes out the way it did at the salon.. They also use this minty smelling green after color rinse, I don't know what it is. Can anyone offer some advice how to get that sleek shiny smooth look?

I get my hair colored at HCX. I love the way my hair looks after?
use a smoothing serum when hair is wet, and blow dry with hair separated into tiny bits, and always face nozzle downwards. Dry root completely, the under and over...then continue to the tip. Curl under and outward and then set it the way you want with the cold blast. Work from bottom to top, and never set wet hair on the dry...keep it pinned up. Once or twice a month, deep condition your hair with baby oil, keep hair in a shower cap all day, then wash 2-3x with shampoo. And you will look like a hair model. This is the trick middle eastern women have been using for the longest time. Men should try it too, its amazing!
Reply:Can't you ask the place that colors your hair, to sell you some of what they used on it? And ask them how much to use and any other question you may have. Beauty salons like to sell their products unless it's a secret formula. It never hurts to ask.
Reply:u can use serum after you wash ur hair...............

Oily Hair....................???

Ok, no matter how much i wash my hair and shower with Biosilk, my hair is still oily. how do i get it less oily???

Oily Hair....................???
Biosilk does that to alot of peoples hair. You need to find a PH balanced shampoo, I believe Dove is and I agree, dont skip conditioner. Try a light spray on one. And first, I have been doing this for years, buy a small spray bottle and fill it with Sea Breeze astrigent. Spritz hair before washing and finger it thru your hair. It will remove the oils but try not using it every time you wash, experiment and see how often you need to use it. Sometimes washing hair too often will make it oilier, try not washing on days you can get away with it.
Reply:I have this problem too. I found that Pert for oily hair works the best! i used to use it till they took it off the market in Australia. When you condition only condition the ends and try getting your hair off your face, I have a side frindge and I find when I pin it up it doesnt get as oily, as you face gets natural oils and it rubs into your hair.
Reply:Don't skip the conditioner...that could wreck your hair. Instead, use a conditioner that is for Oily hair. Use a shampoo that's also for Oily hair.

I feel for you...I HAVE to wash my hair every day or I look like I dipped my head in oil.
Reply:first and foremost...do not touch your hair with your hands. There are oils on your hands that can transfer onto your hair. When washing your hair, leave the oil-free shampoo on your hair for 3 minutes before rinsing. You can follow it with a cool rinse with a spritz of lemon juice. Wash hair daily. Please condition your hair with a leave=in conditioner made for oily hair. Paul Mitchell carries a great line of hair products. Good luck!
Reply:o...k. Try this, use your fingertip or finger and wash the hair AND the scalp. You can't just put shampoo over it. you gotta wash the scalp too. that's where the oil come from, i think
Reply:It's not the right shampoo for your hair type.Youy might want to try another brand thats made for oily hair. Sometimes shampoos that say"Extra body" will work because they plump up the hair by cleaning it really well because they have less conditioner in them.
Reply:Oily hair?

http://www.askaquery.com/Answers/qn1535....
Reply:don't listen to those who ask you to skip conditioning.get a not-so-rich shampoo for your scalp.maybe you can consider changing your shampoo to DOVE.then, condition only the ends not the scalp.many condition the scalp as well which results in even oiler hair!
Reply:change shampoos ......try pantene pro v
Reply:First and foremost, Biosilk is not a great brand because it contains a lot of alcohol. That said, you need to change your shampoo and conditioner. You need Matrix or Redken for oily hair. Also, use very little conditioner.
Reply:i have the SAME problem
Reply:I color my hair and I swear by Robert Craig products, you can purchase them on line. The products leave my hair silky and shiny.
Reply:omg im wit u on this!!! i have super oily hair 2! i only wash it every other day cuz if u wash it 2 much itll still b oily! make sure the water is hot 2 if its cold the oil stays in there! good luck let me no if u find out ne~thing please!!
Reply:sometimes people just have overactive oil glands, try not to play with your hair alot, manipulate the scalp or brush alot..maybe u can try a dandruff shampoo with out moisturizers in it..avoid conditioners and try using vinegar and cold water rinses..good luck
Reply:Try getting Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil Shampoo. and Jason Aloe Vera conditioner. You'll find it in health store.
Reply:Toss the conditioner %26amp; only use shampoo!

Cheap hair products vs. expensive?

What is really better? Cheap conditioners/shampoos/gels etc. vs expensive. for an example vo5 vs. biosilk

Cheap hair products vs. expensive?
Some expensive ones suck and some cheap ones work really well. In my opinion though, the best ones come from salon suppliers like sally's. Not as pricey, but most work really well and make your hair feel like you just came from the salon.
Reply:expensive ones work better in my opinion.
Reply:depends on the brand not all salon products are worth what you pay for them and not all cheaper products are inferior i like both paul mitchell and pantene brands for my hair
Reply:it depends on your hair type. i personally dislike suave. its crap. but i use the new collection by herbal essence and it works pretty well! and its resonably priced. i also like.. thermasilk, dove, and the aussie brand.

Suave,Aussie,or Pantene? This is for thick wavy frizzy mid length hair?

Which one is the best from only those three. I have tried Redken,Biolage,Biosilk,Sunsilk, and pert. They're great! Well some of them. But out of those three which would you recommend?

Suave,Aussie,or Pantene? This is for thick wavy frizzy mid length hair?
Aussie
Reply:My hair is the same type as yours and Pantene Smooth and Sleek works best for my hair.
Reply:Pantene nd treseme' or great fot thick and wavy hair
Reply:I love suaves version of matrix sleek system. They sell it at walmart for 3 bucks. It comes in an orange bottle. I have thick, curly, frizzy hair. It makes it so easy to comb and it makes it soft and silky.

I've used Pantene, my stylist told me it was bad for your hair.

Aussie is ok but half way through the bottle it doesn't seem to do the same thing.

I've used suave for about 3mo and see the same results everytime I wash.
Reply:Pantene. The serum is perfect for wavy and frizzy hair.
Reply:I've tried all three and I would say Aussie. Suave is alright, but Aussie is better, and Pantene makes my hair fall out, But I don't know if thats just me. I have the same kind off hair. That Aussie 3 min miracle is really good.
Reply:Aussie because the purple kangeroo is cute.
Reply:My hair is VERY thick and I tend to have the same problem you have. I would definitely have top say Pantene products really help to smooth my hair out. Also, if you're looking for something to smooth out your hair when you're styling it, Fructice Sleek and Shine: anti-frizz serum works great too!

Went swimming and now I've got green hair...Help!?

I've tried Biosilk which is supposed to remove the green and it kind of worked but not all the way. Any other suggestions?

Went swimming and now I've got green hair...Help!?
There are shampoos that remove the chlorine build-up. One I can think of is made by KMS but I am sure there are many out there. It will wash out little by little don't worry.
Reply:I think you can use white vinegar.
Reply:Rinse your hair, many times over, with many kinds of chlorine-away shampoo. If it still doesn't turn its regular color in a weeks of this torture, go to a hair-styling/cutting shop and endure the tsks to get the chlorine out.
Reply:Go to a professional! Don't try to fix it yourself.
Reply:Use Suave Cleansing shampoo. Just be sure to use conditioner, because it will make your hair coarse if you dont lol.
Reply:I heard that cranberry juice works. Supposedly the red in the juice neutralizes the green hue, returning it to blonde.
Reply:haha
Reply:USE ION SWIMMERS PRODUCTS THEY EVEN HAVE ONE TO REMOVE THE GREEN ION CLARYIFING CRYSTALS TREATMENT FOUND IT AT SALLY BEAUTY SUPPLY
Reply:Sounds crazy but beer wash your hair with it and leave in for 5-10 minutes depending on severity may use more than once and double bonus makes it soft too.
Reply:Silly... that wasn't a pool, it was a toxic waste dump.
Reply:Vinegar.
Reply:don't worry about it

Green hair ROCKS!
Reply:You must be a dyed blonde and you went swimming in a pool with chlorine, right? I am so sorry. I don't have a suggestion, except to dye your hair a darker color.

African American Hair Question-Need professional answer?

My hair doesn't respond well to either light oil moisturizers (i.e. Pink's Light Hair Oil Moisturizer) or products like Biosilk Moisturizer. My hair is the kind of dry that can be heard when rubbed together. Of the two moisturizers Pink's works better, but it seems like a topical solution, and not really beneficial to the health of my hair. Am I trippin?

African American Hair Question-Need professional answer?
No you're not. Try using natural oils like almond and jojoba oil instead of grease and pink moisturizer. They penetrate the hair shaft where as the other products just lay on top.
Reply:try Brylcreem oil it was very helpful for me
Reply:It sounds like your hair might be overprocessed with chemicals, heat or both. Either go to a salon and get a deep conditioner or shampoo your hair then put a moisturizing conditioner in your hair and leave it on with a plastic cap on for 20 mins at home. I recomend using a Paul Mitchell product called instant moisture treatment. They carry the shampoo and conditioner. Shampoo your hair only as often as necessary (only when dirty about every week to week 1/2) Try to lay off of hot styling tools or if you get ur hair curled or pressed, wrap it nightly to preserve the effects. Get a light oil for the hair. Nothing too heavy. Panteen shampoos stip hair so don't use that. White rain and other products like that also strip the hair of natural oil. The best "store brand" shampoo you can get is treseme. Even tho Panteen says "for women of color" it still strips hair. Your best bet is to buy professional products. They aren't just more exspensive, they really do work. Deep condition every time you shampoo and before you know it your hair will be soft again. Good Luck!
Reply:u should try using some kind of hair oil and not pink oil mosit. because if ur hair is really dry it only drinks that up, try greasing your hair with a hair oil before you go to sleep and make sure u wrap it up with a satin head wrap that that your scarf want suck up the oil either
Reply:sweety my hair is giving the same problems so icould also take some advise
Reply:Your hair is badly damage. It needs a deep conditioner and it needs it badly. If you can hear it, it's fried, damage, and needs work to bring it back to life.
Reply:Condition,condition,condition!

No,my sister, you aren't trippin'. You need to start deep conditioning your hair on a weekly basis for the next six weeks.During this time, you'll have to take a good look at your diet. Begin to chow down on fresh fruit and veg ( I mean that each meal must consist of a minimum 70 percent of something that would flower if you planted it,lots of leafy greens, lots of citrusy fruit.) . Infact, I tend to feel that the fewer starches and carbs in your general diet, the better your overall health and appearance. You do need some carbs for energy , but don't become the Pilsbury Dough Boy. And, you sound a tad dehydrated. That eight glasses a day rule is doable and for you, vital if you expect a positive change.

I'll always insist, you must not wash your hair without following up with a deep conditioner, preferably cholesterol. This is the only time I let heat near hair : when you've slathered on your cholesterol or hot oil treatment, cover it with a shower cap and heat with a dryer for 15 minutes then rinse with warm NOT HOT WATER.

Have you been roasting your hair? Lose the daily abuse of hot dryer and straightening irons, and flee at the sight of relaxers. Many of us have destroyed our hair with these products. If you've committed to growing out the damage,a weave or boxbraiding will give your hair some rest while you work on improving your diet so as to have an inside-out renewal.

You might want to do a six week therapeutic cycle with APhoGee range of hair treatments. They do a fine job. I also believe in the Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine Range which does wonders on my natural, unprocessed mane.(And I do mean "mane", I'm totally in love with the condition of my hair right now!)

I apply a light spray of Soft and Beautiful oil sheen spray after moisturising with either of Luster's or S%26amp;B's pink oil moisturiser.

I love shampooing daily, but I don't try that type of stunt now that the weather's gotten colder. Since you're trying to improve hair condition, you may want to avoid a daily dousing.

Please tell me you wear a silk sleep bonnet,or at least a silk wrap to bed? You have to protect your hair night and day.My Bible assures me that a woman's hair is her glory. You need to respect your crowning glory .

Happy Beautifying!

Keep it Real :-)
Reply:No, you're not trippin'. Maybe skippin' on the correct shampoos and conditioners to use on your hair, but never trippin'..... :-) The first place you may want to start at getting your hair back on the road to health is with your shampoo. When you hear your hair squeak that means you are taking out the natural oil in your hair by either washing it to much or you're not using good moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. Your hair needs MOISTURE. Shampoos like DesignEssentials, Cream of Nature, Mizani, KeraCare, and Motions are all good products to use to add moisture to your hair and low priced. When it comes to conditioning, deep condition your hair with a hooded blow-dryer and maybe use Queen Helene Cholesterol Conditioner or Organic Roots Hair Mayonnaise (you can add an egg in the mayonnaise for a really intensive deep condition). Or you can use a hair mask which is really good for the hair. You can find brands like Paul Mitchell, Joico, Pantene, Garnier Fructis, Neutrogena...etc. You use it like you would a deep conditioner but you leave on for a lesser period of time and the benefits are well worth. Maybe do Olive Oil or Jojoba Oil Hot Oil Treatments on your hair once a month or every two weeks. Right now, I wouldn't do a Reconstructor because you didn't mention that your hair is breaking/or shedding and because your hair is already dry a Reconstructor will just make it dryer. And please, use a leave-in conditioner on your hair before you blow-dry it. We tend to skip that, but it's important that it's used because 1) you're not washing the conditioner out and the blow-dryer is penetrating the conditioner into the hair strand and 2) a leave-in conditioner is working to protect your hair from breakage, reduce frizz, and puts that extra moisture in the hair. And when you're blow-drying your hair, when it's 90% dry, switch the knob to cool setting. The coolness helps to seal up the hair cuticles in your scalp and lock that moisture in. Or better yet, let your air dry to avoid putting heat on your hair. Then when you're ready to go to sleep, rub some natural oils such as jojoba, olive, or carrot oil on your hair and scalp, wrap your hair up, and tie it down with a silk scarf. When you don't hear the squeaking, don't see any shedding/or breakage, and your hair is soft and manageable, then you'll know that you have put your hair back on the road to health. Good Luck!!!!!
Reply:Go get a tub of cholesterol conditioner, coat your damp hair with it,put a plastic bag over it ,leave it as long as you have time for.Works great, i suggest you get pantene shampoo and conditioner for women of color, thats what i use. Then use your pink moisturizer. Thats my routine.Use the cholesterol like 1x a week, it will make your hair really silky, and moisturized. If that doesnt work go to the white people salon and get Paul Mitchell hair mask. Its expensive but if the cholesterol doesnt work that will work for sure.

Shoul I use a hair relaxer on my nappy thick lstino hair?

My hair is not curly, but it is a bit wavy and frizzy. I want to try a hair relaxer. What do you recomend. I have used sunsilk and it doesn't work. I have to use Biosilk and straighten my hair everyday. HELP!

Shoul I use a hair relaxer on my nappy thick lstino hair?
i would recommend to go to a salon, get it done there and buy a ceramic hair straightener, they work wonderful, my hair is curly but soft curly and i get it relaxed once a year and use the hair straightener quite often, the hair looks fine and i still dye my hair and my hair doesnt look damaged.
Reply:oh yeah. If it is closer to biracial (Black/White) hair, then it will be smooth and have a slight wave to it. If it is kinky, it will straighten well. Or better yet, dont process at all. Besides, the length of time processing is the same as flat ironing Report It

Reply:go to a salon, and get a consultation from an african-american hairdresser. i'm being serious here. you'll risk your hair if you do it yourself or let an inexperienced stylist do it.

Hair products???

Which hair products work better to treat dry, frizzy, and course hair: Redken, Biolage, Biosilk, Bedhead, or any others? I want super smooth, soft, and shiny hair. I already use John Freida frizz serum. It works nicely, but I need some shampoos/conditioners to help make my hair soft and shiny. Any suggestions?

Hair products???
Matrix smooth line

it is orange and has shampoo, conditioner, and cremes

works great and leaves hair very soft and smooth
Reply:get the hyrda mask by biolage , works very well ! and some extra deep conditioners
Reply:Pantene has something like 2 minute hair conditioner treatment or something, ok, apply to hair while in hot shower, DO NOT RINSE, put hair in towel, leave overnite style the next morning accordingly, if it weighs down your hair you can rinse some out but leave some in. This made my hair SUPER SOFT and shiny and smelled so good! Anyway dont be afraid to always put some extra conditioner on wet hair after your out of the shower, even if it is not the leave in kind, also dont be afraid to put loads of it in and leave it in there overnite or for some hours.
Reply:Shampoo

Reply:well i think you should use the sun silk shampoos/conditioners because each one treats a different type of hair and your is just like mine, all frizzy and dried out. they also have treatments you could use after you wash your hair.

How can you calm down the hair frizzies due to highlighting?

I normally have stick straight hair but with the double process of base and highlighting, the blond parts get frizzy and I can't wear it without straightening it. I would love to just wash and go but once my hair dries naturally, it swells up. I've tried extra conditioner and BioSilk. It works but not enough. Any other suggestions?

How can you calm down the hair frizzies due to highlighting?
Mousse. Use enough to cover all your hair....
Reply:Put a leave in conditioner in and allow your hair to dry naturally. When it is dry, rub some anti frizz serum between your hands and smooth it through your hair, especially on the ends. If you need more "weight" to keep it from frizzing, use a little hair wax on the ends.
Reply:Use Infusion Complete Frizz Control Treatment. Pump 2 to 3 times into your palm and evenly smooth it over dry hair. The pro-vitamin formula will keep frizz at bay and leave your hair free flowing and shiny.
Reply:Infusium is good but also John Frieda products are great and the best styling tool is a CHI iron to help and it straightens and keep the moisture in your hair..

Silk Drops?

Biosilk makes a product called Silk Drops. My stylist uses it in my hair when I get it cut. I LOVE IT! It makes my hair so shiney %26amp; beautiful. However, it's in a like 1 oz bottle for $14. That's a bit steep for me. Is there another *cheaper* brand that makes a similar product? I've tried Frizz Ease, but it makes my hair look oily %26amp; nasty.

Thanks much!

Silk Drops?
garnier Fruitius Smoothing milk or any other of the Garnie r shine products. Thats what I use!Goood Luck!
Reply:as everyones hair is not same, but try using sunsilk shampoo %26amp; contidioner it will work for u. its not so costly. or try garnier . iwld better suggest tht try natural things. for best shampoo.

Good hair products?

i have good hair, its thin so its smooth and soft, and i want it to stay this way! problem is i blow dry and straighten my hair every other night and i straighten it every morning! im scared of totally frying my hair, so what are some products i can use to keep it soft and straight? im 14 so of course i want it to look as nice as possible. so what shampoos and conditionars should i use? and any other products you want to reccomend. right now im using whatever is in my shower and biosilk syrup.

Good hair products?
Herbal Essences The Break's Over is a good shampoo to strengthen and keep your hair soft and smooth. Mane n' Tail is an excellent one as well, I've used it for a few weeks and it's great. And I like biosilk as well.
Reply:A good brush.

The higher quality your hairbrush, the healthier your hair. We've found the best brushes have rubber bases with boar's head bristles. These allow bristles to flex, cutting down on the damage to your hair.

The right shampoo for your hair type.

Shampoos work by cleansing hair of dirt %26amp; oil. Picking the correct shampoo is all about the ingredients. Extra tip: More shampoo is not better. All you need is a half-dollar-sized dollop, perhaps a bit more if you have long hair. And although it says on the back of every shampoo bottle, "rinse %26amp; repeat," you don't need to if you did a good job the first time around. Beauty experts tout Pantene as the best basic shampoo on the market. We tend to agree, having tried dozens of different shampoos from the fabulously pricey to the basics. Check out their various products from moisturizing to volumizing.

Conditioner.

Unless you have baby fine hair that goes limp at the sight of creamy conditioners, you need to a conditioner. Hair pros will tell you conditioner can help repair heat- %26amp; chemical-damaged hair. The truth is conditioners protect your hair from these things (and harsh brushings). More than conditioning, we like how conditioners have moisturizing agents that coat hair leaving it tangle-free. Want to spend less time brushing out long wet hair? Condition the ends. Your comb will zip right through. For more information, see Best Shampoos %26amp; Conditioners for Hair Types. Compare prices for Pantene conditioners.

A wide-toothed comb.

Never, ever, ever, never use a brush to comb out wet hair. That’s why they call it ‘combing out’ – a wide-toothed comb is the only equipment that should touch your wet head. Check out combs from $1 to $10.

# Shine serum.

Here is where you may say, 'what?' But really, who would turn down a shiny mane if promised one? These shine serums really do work. If you have fine, straight hair, forego the serums for the spray %26amp; don’t use too much. Shine products will weigh down fine hair, so a quick spritz will do you. If your hair is thick, try the serums, which help smooth the hair %26amp; give it an added gleam, or just use more of the spray. Check out shine serums, from cheap ($5) to steep ($30).

Women with fine hair should consider the shine sprays:

# Dry shampoo OR talcum powder.

These shampoos are great for absorbing oil in between washings. Don’t want to splurge on the fancy stuff? Here’s what I do (having tried the fancy Bumble %26amp; Bumble powder): Talcum powder. Just make sure you go easy on your part %26amp; at the hairline. You don't want the powder to be obvious (though I must admit, sometimes the smell of baby powder is a dead giveaway, but the smell is worth not having oily hair, IMO). Check out different dry shampoos here:

# A blowdryer.

Never underestimate the power of a good blowdryer. The more powerful your dryer, the better. A strong blowdryer, like the pro favorite, 'Tourmaline,' (see compare prices link below) will speed drying time which reduces your hair’s exposure to damaging heat. If you have thick hair, you’ll want a dryer with at least 1,875 watts. Those with finer hair can make do with 1,500 watts. For information on what features to look for in a dryer, click here.

Volumnizing mousse or spray OR straightening balm.

Volumizing products are a Godsend for those of us with fine hair. Spray it on your roots %26amp; voila! all of a sudden you have volume. Got coarse hair, skip this product %26amp; buy the balm, which will calm down those frizzies we straight-haired girls would love to have to battle every now %26amp; then.

Help. My hair gets so frizzy after I straighten it?

I hate my hair. It's long and I am bad at straightening by myself, so I take an hour to straighten my hair.

I used So silk and biosilk, and they didn't work. It just made my hair look greasy.

I don't want my hair to look so flat either.

What are some good brands that would make my hair not puff up, but add a little volume?

Mousse or hairspray? No, they don't work with my hair either. I dislike gel.

Help. My hair gets so frizzy after I straighten it?

How can I tell???

How can I tell if the my shampoo/conditioners contain protein?

My fine, blonde, color treated highlighted hair has been breaking a lot lately and I'm not sure if it's over moisturized or if I've been possibly overdosing on protein and not realizing it.

I have used in the past few months:

Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner (2-3x week)

Nexus Aloe Rid (1x week)

Nexus Emergencee Reconstructor (1x week)

Nexus Humectress (2-3x week)

Matrix Shade Memory for Blondes (1x week)

L'Oreal Pro Color Vive for highlighted hair

Feria deep conditioner

Framesi Options Hydrate

Biolage Color Care shampoo/conditioner

Deepshine lustrizer

Biosilk

What ingredients can be causing the breakage?

How can I tell???
I have long hair and the best shampoo I have found is Kerastase from L'oreal, expensive but worth it.
Reply:it usually says if theres protein on the bottle but hight protein wont make ur hair break it will break if u streighten or curl it alot
Reply:There are so many causes of breakage. You should probably stick to one treatment for an amount of time to see what really works. The best thing to do: drink lots of water, take vitamins and have a healthy diet.

Is the sedu good?

Hey. I have a regular flat iron thats pretty nice. It's from a beauty salon but it's really hard for me to get to the roots because the plate is to big. So for my birthday my mom got me a sedu 1". Do you think that this will be better and is the sedu a good straightener? Also will the sedu go well with biosilk silk therapy?

Is the sedu good?
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons (hair straighteners), including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Ghd, Infrashine. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

I own one.

It makes your hair very nice, smooth, straight, %26amp;+ shiny.

[: plus it heats fast.
Reply:OMG OMG!!

yes yes yes yes!!

i absoulutely LOVE my sedu!

i got it for x-mas, and i too, could never get my roots straight!

[annoying huh?] i got the 1.5 inch and it still gets my hair perfect and takes less time. i personally like using CHI silk infusion, and a little bit of leave in conditioning creme. works wonderful! good luck!!

any more questions? email: ellagarard@yahoo.com

%26lt;3

oh and it can curl your hair really niceley! on youtube type in curling hair with a flat iron, and go to the video by reorsusie, im sure you'll love it!

%26amp;%26amp; its really light weight, and the plates are like...all shiny and glide through the hair super nice, compared to my other flat iron [from sally beauty] the sedu is 10xbetter!
Reply:Yes finally! someone with the sense to know CHI is no better than week old hamburgers! Sedu is very good. Excellent, I would recommend it to anyone.

I need a new hair straightener!! Help please?

Okay first of all, is CHI the best? Where should I get it from. Is biosilk a generic brand because they look really similar. Is there any thing else that works better. THANK YOU

I need a new hair straightener!! Help please?
I use a CHI, personnaly i do think its the best. it works the best, and it makes my hair realllyy shiny.

ghd is really good too. so it t3, thats what kate moss uses.

Just make sure not to get ike a cheap one from conair, those suck.

Chi is the way to go!

But make sure to put in some Heat-protectant in your hair before you flat iron it.
Reply:YES CHI is da bomb, trust me I only use chi's when i do my customers hair and they always get one after they see the results, and a salon stylist can usually get them for100$ insted of 135 i got mine for 99 :D its the limited edition it came with the products wich are great also!
Reply:LOVE my CHI. I eBay-ed it and payed $89.

If you do that, make sure it's not an imposter, people sell a lot of those there.

Make sure you also get some chi spray before you put all that heat to your head at a local beauty store......I love it...if I could remember to unplug it, it would be better :)
Reply:Personally, I dont like the CHI. Jilbere de Paris has won me over. http://www.sallybeauty.com/jilbere-solid...

thats the straightener I currently have, it has various settings and heats up fast
Reply:well at the stamford mall, they have these amazing hair straighteners...but they're about 300 bucks. i had one of those and when i broke i just bought a conair one for 40 bucks. straightens my hair great!! and i have mad curly hair...also if u get the loreal hot straightening cream for u hair to put it in before u straighten ur hair, it comes out even better. ur hair is nice and soft and it smells really good after straightening it. no flyaways or frizz!
Reply:I splurged on a CHI ($135) And I love it. It is what my hairstylist uses when I get my hair done (which is very curly) and it makes it totally flat. I bought mine at Trade Secret %26amp; got some free product, CHI shampoo, conditioner %26amp; hair serum, full size. I think its worth it.
Reply:Chi use to be the best until the company was sold a year ago. so any chi's purchased after that are made cheaper and have electrical problems.

The GHD iron has replaced Chi... It is the one to get.
Reply:i use chi buts its the first and only one i've used!
Reply:personally i think that chi is not good at all. but my friend got a really good straightener from jcpennys . i would look there.

Reply:from my experience with conair, i havent honestly found a flat iron with that brand that i have liked.....

i have two and they dont really get hot, as my other iron does but thats a different brand, if u have thick hair then dont purchase it, but if ur hair is thinner then u have a better chance at straightening it.

but also, if the price of the conair iron is pretty high then it could be a good one.

I always wanna do this hair style with it too ( Lauren Conrad from the hills) but I cant.. I need a lot of help haha. Thanks:)

Can i use this before straightening??

can i use Garnier sleek%26amp; shine anti-humidity styling cream right before i straighten my hair? Because all my friends do and their hair always looks sleek and shiny when they do it...will it prevent damage?

also..can i use biosilk to prevent damage?

(b4 or after straightening?)

Can i use this before straightening??
the garnier is just a styling cream it is not a heat protector. biosilk protects your hair from the heat and leaves it shiny and smelling good.
Reply:I don't think it protects it from the heat. But I used to use Bedhead Leave-in Conditioner before I straightened my hair and it made it super soft and not frizzy at all. I think it would do the same thing.

Heat protecting creams aren't expensive... If you really want something that will protect your hair AND leave it looking great, just buy some heat protecting cream and apply it before you put on the Garnier stuff.

:-) Best of luck! XOXO
Reply:I don't think that prevents damage- if you are straightening with heat you need to look for something with thermal protection. (Matrix Vavoom Gold is good) Biosilk is awesome and you can use it anytime to make your hair healthier but it is also not a thermal protectant.
Reply:u should put a product like biosilk straightner creams i had one and it worked i would not recommed using products taht say certly alcohol etc right at teh begining or in it at all thast just aids in drying out ur hair..not good! Put a cream in ur hair right after shampooing and conditioning and towle drying. I also recommed shine shock by brilliant bruneet taht stuff works well! The garnier u describe may work for u too.
Reply:you can put whatever you want on your hair before and after straightening it ....just dont put too much products on your hair because they weigh down our hair and damage your flat iron.

Good Flat Iron Serums/Sprays?

Has anyone tried Biosilk Therapy?

What's a good heat protectant,and a serum/spray for after I flat iron it?

Thanks! =]

Good Flat Iron Serums/Sprays?
Try Fantasia IC serum.....I used the samples and they keep my hair shiney...plus its made from olive oil (great for hair..especially relaxed hair)

*No mineral oil is in this product*
Reply:Bed Head's Headrush is an aerosol that's great for spraying the sections while you iron your hair. It has less alcohol than silk therapy. And Redken Glass is good to use while your hair is still damp before you blowdry.
Reply:"BEYOND THE ZONE"...it is under $10 and comes in an orange bottle from sallys, but it probably doesn't work as good as that chi stuff...
Reply:use treseme stuff they work good or avon products
Reply:I love Silk Therapy for shine and smoothing but I don't think it protects your hair from heat damage. I mist my hair with either the puprle bottle from sunsilk heat protector or thermasilk heat protecting detangler before I flat iron. Both of these oftions are less than $4. You can use them on wet or dry hair.
Reply:chi has really good hair products.
Reply:well BEFORE you spray use chi anything from the chi line is amazing and after wards use the other product form **** that takes care of frizzys and split ends silk infusin its magnificent i love it

Straightening/styling hair?

when i straightening my hair should i add biosilk before or after straightening and how do you get a high(%26lt;not too high) tousled pony tail even with sorta haevy hair (without getting that rubber band line from the ponytail?

Straightening/styling hair?
You should add biosilk while your hair is wet/damp/towel dried. Also, use a straightening product and/or heat protector for your hair. Then blow dry it and straighten. The heat protector is really important for your hair... most hair company brands carry some kind of heat protector cream that you put on before you blow dry it. Do this to keep your hair healthy and undamaged. As far as the ponytail thing... Invest in the hair ties with a little fabric around it. Remember scrunchies? Well I know those are so "1990" but now they make the thin hair ties with a little more fabric so it's gentler on your hair. First of all it wont break your hair in the middle where it holds your hair, and it will lessen the band line.
Reply:you always use products after else you'll ruin your machine
Reply:you should use biosilk before, because when u are done u will have already damaged ur hair.
Reply:i noticed the best product to use for straightening your hair is called diamond heads by paul brown. I switched over from bio silk to this because I like the effect it left on my hair.
Reply:get the hairbands without metal and put it in loosely. use biosilk before you straighten it. good luck!
Reply:I have always gotten the band line from a pony tail

I use bio silk before I blow dry and then iron, maybe a little more bio silk

Wavy hair issues?

ok, my whole life it seems, ive had horrible hair that ive struggled with...i finally got a competent stylist who literally changed my life. she managed to thin my hair using a method that not many stylists want to use (according to her) and managed to give me a style that was less bulky and actually looked nice! ive been straightening my hair since i was 17. im 22 this year and ive had about enough of straighteners and burnt hair smells, not to mention the time it takes. recently ive taken a liking to my wavy hair and wondered if maybe i could find a way to style it so it doesnt poof out and look horrid. what i do now is put some biosilk in with my finger (no combs while its wet) then blow dry on low, then try and finish with high (trying to dry the roots) and it always turns puffy and ugly and frizzy at this point.what can i do to my hair that is quick, simple and wont burn it and doesnt take alot of product?

Wavy hair issues?
How long is your hair, if it is longer just let it dry naturally. Take the towel off of it find your preferred part and with as little messing with it as possible put it where you want it to lay when it dries. If you want you can put a little bit of Anti frizz serum on it, but I never did. My hair would stay pretty all day when I did that, I mean there was always the days where my activities or weather messed with it but for the most part it looked nice, it was quick, simple and didn't cost much.

The curls and waves would stay together and not frizz out on their own.

hope this helps!
Reply:Try the same process minus the blow dryer. The blow dryer adds body, something you don't necessarily need any more of.
Reply:You should use John Freida frizz ease. I would recommend the shampoo, conditioner and especially the serum probably in extra strong for your hair. I know you said you didn't want to use a lot of product but it is amazing. They have products for both straight and curly hair i would definitely recommend this. A weave is also an option. Permanent straighting kits also can help improve the situation they last for up to 3 months. They may damage your hair a little but not as much as 3 months of straightening and blow drying. good luck.
Reply:use a deep conditioner. the deep conditioner will moisturize your hair and prevent it from frizzing. and use a straightening gel ( like the tressemme one) before you blow-dry your hair.

--hope I can help
Reply:let it flow naturally,

stop trying to change it
Reply:Just do nothing but keep it trimmed and have the stylist use thinning scissor from time to time and find a couple of styles that you like and use them.

Waves can be removed or reduced by using hair relaxer, so try and use some, you will have many choice at discount stores and at your local pharmacy.
Reply:i have wavy hair also. to me it is way easier to wear it wavy then straighten it. 1st wash your hair with a nice shampoo, but just put a leave in conditioner in. never ever comb or brush your hair when u wear it wavy or curly. i always use biosilk. just towel dry your hair no blow dryer. flip your hair over and scrunch it with a alcohol free gel, make sure its even in your hands. then spray it with hair spray after geling. hope this helps! also when it drys if u have frizzy pieces curl them with a curling iron.

Pre-Bleach Care?

I'm going to the salon to have them do my hair platinum blonde. I want to take a shower right now, but I don't know whether it's a good idea to wash my hair or not. It's pretty greasy feeling right now; I put vitamin E oil mixed with Biosilk serum yesterday.

Pre-Bleach Care?
NOOOO do NOT wash it!!!!!! It will damage it soo much more because your hair will be dry!
Reply:ROYAK W GO TO BED AT 11 YRS OF AGE YOU ARE A DISGRACE AND NEED A SLAP ACROSS YOUR MOUTH sorry but i had to say that but in answer to your question dont worry because if it has got to be wet when they put colour on they will wash it anyway so just leave it
Reply:I would recommend not washing it, it might be embarassing if its a bit greasy but its easier for the salon to work with when its not fresh from the shower. I know from experience that washing your hair will make it dryer and it will damage it less if its a bit greasy! (:
Reply:NOOOOO

don't go blonde!
Reply:The natural oils in your hair protect it from damage.

Don't wash it.
Reply:Don't wash it.

Reply:dont wash ur hair!!!! Hair dressers prefer it if ur hair is slightly dirty with oils in it, it reacts better.

i have really dry curly hair which sometimes i straighten and sometimes i leave it be. i have used biosilk, paul mitchell super skinny serum, and paul mitchell gloss drops for years! i love these products! but is there a better product out there that i could find at my salon? i also like products that dont weigh my hair down and dont make it look greasy

not all people wash their hair everyday

Reply:use fekkai lucious curls or fekkai shea butter. they are both very hydrating.
Reply:Start using Redken Clear Moisture.....it adds gloss/shine and moisture to hair without adding any weight
Reply:Try putting olive oil or honey through your hair once or twice a week when you take a shower. This can help leave your hair shiny and moisterized.

How can I make the bleaching process less damaging?

In October, I box-died my hair dark brown and was so pleased, I continued doing so through February. But, as I lost my tan, the dark hair began to lose its appeal.

So, I tried to box-dye a lighter color over it and it turned orange on top, black on bottom.

I went to the salon, had them strip it and color over it but it looked the same, with just a little damage. I got ColorFix from Sally's a couple weeks later and it worked. I dyed it a light brown with a 28-wash dye and it turned dark over night! -and orange on top.

That was a week ago and I've decided to go to a salon next week to get the lighter colors I like. My hair should be totally damaged, but I've used Biosilk for over a year. I'm deep conditioning it every other day, using a salon leave-in conditioner and braiding my hair to lock in the moisture until I go get my hair done. Any other suggestions? Oh, I'm a level 6 or 7 dark brown getting a dark blonde base with blonde highlights.

How can I make the bleaching process less damaging?
Your hair needs a pH balancing conditioner, an Anti-Oxidant [sometimes sold as Herbal Anti-Oxy conditioner] product will help to close down the cuticle and restore the natural pH. Use this every time you shampoo.

Weekly deep penetrating conditioning treatments will also help, Osmo do a mask which is superb and you can get this in Sally.

I personally would not have any further colour/bleach until your hair is tip top, it may feel smooth but will be in quite poor condition after all you have done.

Good luck
Reply:deep condition your hair...once a week

invest in a gentel shampoo

and shampoo as less often as u can

dont blow dry or iron hair

stay away from hair dye
Reply:use a low volume developer, it may not get you as light as you want, and it may take awhile, but it will be better for your hair, and you could eventually get it to what you want, but it would be a long process.

Heat Protectants?

What are some good ones? Sprays?

And then sometihng to make it nice afterwards, like Biosilk?

=]

Heat Protectants?
I use something that you put in your hair right before drying it. It's a cream/lotion called got2b crazysleek. After I use any heat protectant spray. Right now I have the one by Aussi. The cream works extremely well. I notice a difference when I use it and don't use it. And I straighten my hair everyday and it's almost always silky smooth and it doesn't very damaged.
Reply:Tresemme is good (: And I've heard that Dove is good too .

Something to make your hair nice afterwards ? FX Special Effects Silk Drops . It leave your hair smooth and shiny and soft (:

What should i do to look my hair soft and silky like this?
well you can try a conditioner or an spray.
Reply:sunsilk works great
Reply:i use some serum from Fantasia [tha hair brand] theres a lot to choose frum but i use tha pink one its called frizz buster. it makes your hair shiny and frizz free. [they sell it at walgreens/walmart/target...basically anywhere they sell hair stuff]
Reply:i use the Got2B smooth operator, lustre lotion and silkening serum when i get out of the shower put that in there. then a littl e bit of the serum when your hair dries and smooth it on the top. it works very well for me.
Reply:Make sure you're using a really good conditioner. I find that the better it is, the more glossy your hair can be. Also you can try Aquage beyond shine spray. I have used it for months and will never switch. I love it. It's a salon product that you probably can only get at a really nice place. Using a flat iron after blowdrying makes my hair look really shiny as well. Just be sure you're using a good one. I use a sedu or a chi. These are quiet expensive but worth the money. When you blow dry you can try using a big round brush. It makes the hair softer, glossier, and straighter. Hope I helped!

Biosilk Glazing gel will make your hair really stiff and have a wet look....alot of ppl with curly hair like it, I personally dont. Try Graham Webb Making Waves Gel.....its a bit pricey but totally worth it!
Reply:I think you should try it

it would look good

Which serum?

do you like chi silk infusion or biosilk? which is best? or if there are any other serums you like better

Which serum?
I love the Chi Silk Infusion I am addicted to it.

I use to have biosilk but there was to much alcohol the smell would get really strong when I was running out.

I think my hair has gotten stronger and healthier after switching to Chi Silk Infusion It is way better

I love using it after I flat iron it makes my hair silkier and smoother and smells nice to

its hard to go over board with this but a little does go a long way
Reply:john frieda has a really good frizz serum and its a lot cheaper
Reply:I also agree with the John Frieda hair serum.

Curly to wavy hair with little heat?

i have blonde curlyish wavy hair thats flat on top and then puffs out. i've been striahgtening it alot so the top layers is a bit damaged. i realy like wavy hair but could never understand how to get it with having to straighten my hair and then curl it with a big curling iron. I like to wear my hair sorta half up half down if you know what i mean with my side bangs out.

does anyone know how to get wavy hair without using too much heat? (a little is ok as long as i dont apply it too much to the top layer.)

it seems like my bottom layers are heathly, unlike my top layer. I use biosilk shampoo and conditioner and even paul mitchell strengthning conditioner. my top hair just doesnt want to soak up the conditioner =/

Curly to wavy hair with little heat?
Use scrunching gel to get waves without using heat. Or braid your hair into tight little braids.

Also you can still style your hair, but use a damage protection spray first. A good choice is Pantene. It costs about $6.00 and comes in a spray bottle. Basically you spray it on all over your hair and run your fingers through it before you style it. Use it before you blow dry, straighten or anything that applies heat to your hair. It will make your hair much less damaged.

Btw you should only put conditioner on the ends of your hair, never on the top, that's what my hairstylist told me :) Good luck :)

What is your favorite hair product???

Mine are...

- any shampoo %26amp; conditioner from aveda (it really does add moisture to my hair)

- pantene ice shine (it REALLY makes my hair shiny but dries out my hair COMPLETELY esp at the ends)

- biosilk hair therapy (it makes my hair soft without making it greasy at all)

- sedu flat iron

- origins conditioning oil (olive oil works great in my hair because my ends get really dry and I have bad split ends)

What is your favorite hair product???
Johnathan Silky Dirt... It really adds a lot of texture to my short hair.

Reply:At the moment lm using Redken from the Hairhouse Warehouse. It is expensive but they have made a real difference to my dry hair %26amp; lve only used it twice! Reply:For shampoo I use Pantene Relaxed %26amp; Natural dandruff formula. For conditionner I use 3 kinds on my hair Creme of Nature conditioner,ION Reconstructer treatment, and ION Extreme Moisture Nuturing Creme. Afterwards I use Profective Break-Free and Mega Growth cremes, then I blow dry with a blow dryer comb, and finally I use my Conair Flat Iron and use ultra sheen hairdress. Then for upkeep inbetween washing and conditioning, I use Lusters Pink Oil Lotion and sleep with a satin cap on my head. Since then my hair has been looking healthy everyday.

What can i use to stop humidity from killing my hair?

I am african american and im all natrual. I straighten my hair and use biosilk but that doesn't stop the humidity from eating it alive! What can i mix biosilk with to keep the results i get from flat ironing?

What can i use to stop humidity from killing my hair?
i once got some bath and body works hair reconstructor as part of a gift set. it's basically like super hair conditioner. it seems to make my hair stay way more moisturized and soft. see if that helps. make sure you use conditioner every time you wash your hair. and only put the flat iron on the lowest setting you need to get the hair straight, anything higher will straighten and dry your hair out, so it'll suck up the moisture in the hair and have it's own way.

they also make leave in conditioner. you can put that in and leave it overnight (wash out in the morning), or some you can put in and not wash out. look around at the products at the store and see what you find. try a few and see what works best.

keep a little thing of lotion with you. if your hair starts to frizz up, then put some lotion on your hands (a little more than if you were just using it for your hands normally), and run your hands through your hair. it helps control frizzies.
Reply:hairspray. spray it on a brush and brush your hair with it. it should work.
Reply:Garnier fructice (sp?)

Anti humidity styling cream.

:)
Reply:Chi makes a product that has an antihumectant in it called Straight Edge and Big Sexy makes one called seal and shine which has one too. Both can be used in conjunction with Biosilk but I have had better luck with Big Sexy Frizz eliminator. It is alot thicker and seals the hair better.

Hair products??? I need quick answers =)?

My hair will stay straight as long as it isn't humid. But when I straighten my hair and it is humid my hair gets super frizzy. I heard biosilk is really good for this kindof thing. Does biosilk actually work or is there any better product?

Hair products??? I need quick answers =)?
i love using herbal essences none of your frizzness shampoo and conditioner. theres also leave in conditioner. it has worked great on me and now my hair is perfect!
Reply:i use assusie!! the bottle w/ a kangaroo
Reply:Fructis Sleek and Shine has an Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk that has worked WONDERS for me. It'll keep you smooth and frizz free all day rain or shine and it's affordable!
Reply:The absolute best is aproduct called Silk Drops by FX Special Effects. It is BETTER and LESS expensive than biosilk. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!!!

Reply:I agree with answer one. Or you can use Dove.

Hair products?!?! pleaz help??

i have a question about some of these products. are they good? i have dry hair and its kinda wavy when not relaxed. i get a relaxer every 6 weeks. I have no color yet.

-CHI silk infusion

-Biosilk finishing spray

maybe:

Biosilk thermal shield

its okay if you only no about one. also do you know any good shampoos for dry hair?

Hair products?!?! pleaz help??
i have a personal hair dresser and she suggests chi silk infusion is the like best thing. it works really well!
Reply:Why don't you try Creme of Nature Shampoo and Conditioner.

Dr. Miracles Shampoo and Conditioner.

I never used those products you listed.

I use Isoplus Oil Sheen

Revlon Realistic Finishing Spray (in the red can)
Reply:those products are pro salon products so u cant reallly go wrong. Even tho bio silk is in the regulars stores its still a salon product.. Look at the shampoo and see if its meant for dry hair and use that.. Framesi Tresa Purology those are some of the greatest products that are out on the market right now Use a hydrating shampoo and a hydrating conditioneer until ur hair feels better
Reply:i use TIGER MASQUE by GRUND it's a deep conditioner. it is the BEST product to use on your hair. i use it once a week to keep my hair looking very shiny and healthy. this product is awesome!! when i use it is looks like i just stepped out of a salon with spiral curls. you have got to try it and i promise you that you'll always go back for more. it's a little expensive but it lasts forever. use it once a week and TRUST me you'll see the MAJOR difference in how healthy your hair will be after one use of it. hope i helped ya:)
Reply:you need to get a deep conditioner if your hair is dry. Arosci has some good ones. these are in salons. they have a good deep treatment that my clients love and have good shampoo and conditioners to. the chi silk infusion is awesome but is not going to help with dryness, it's only going to add shine and make your hair softer. the biosilk is only going to do the same thing.

Tigi Catwalk, Bed Head, Sebastian Body Double, Paul Mitchell or Biolage. Easy 10 pt.?

I am an African American with shoulder length hair. I have average hair(not course) that I perm every 4 wks (Olive Oil relaxer) that has not been colored in about 2yrs and I dont plan to color it again. I am currently using Biosilk Silk Therapy shampoo and conditioner plus the serum. Although I love Biosilk line I would love to use some other line to alternate with it. What I look for in my hair is volume, body, softness, cleaness, and for curls to stay in when I curl it with my chi iron. Which of these products would you recommend or if you know of any others that may be of help. Please be honest and give me a reason why you think a product may be good or not for my hair type. Thanks.

Tigi Catwalk, Bed Head, Sebastian Body Double, Paul Mitchell or Biolage. Easy 10 pt.?
i love the biosilk serum, but in my personal opinion the shampoo is way to heavy and does not get my hair clean. i am not a big fan of anything above but i am a big fan of redken products. i think that the all soft is the best for your hair type especially since you perm it because the all soft is for dry and brittle hair. it makes the hair more manageable and will help to keep your hair strong at the same time. check around at all of the regis based salons such as regis, cost cutters, smart style ect. they will have some packages for the holidays that have the poo and cond both for a great price so you can try them and they all have a return policy! that way if you don't like it then you can take it back and try something else! i say stick with the serum you are using though. i think it is the best that you will find.
Reply:i think the paul mitchell products work just as good as the biosilk
Reply:i use bead head which works good on my thin hair. I think tigi or paul mitchell will work best for your hair. depends on which of their products you buy. good luck=]

i plan on getting my hair straightened just before school starts... and on buying a new flat iron probably from trade secrets and im thinking about getting some biosilk.. should i?? ive heard great reviews but there all from white people so im not sure if its gonna do the same in my hair... HELP!! also how much does biosilk cost canadian?? i looked on the canadian site but didnt see any prices... THANKS!!

Is bioslik ok to use in african american hair?
I've used biosilk, but I found that you should only use a very little! It makes your hair feel nice and silky. I'm not sure how much it cost in Canadian dollars...sorry:( Good Luck!!
Reply:I have really curly hair and I tried it before and after a blow dry, then flat ironed my hair it wasn't all that! Truthfully I've seen cheaper stuff work better. You can go out and buy this brand called organic (green top) Olive oil treatment. They have oil moisturizing lotions, leave in conditioners and even a silky serum thats good to apply before you flat iron or wrap your hair. Don't break your pocket on that stuff...it isn't for everyone.
Reply:yea alot of people uses it it's seems like it would e fine you have to rember hair is hair

Hair drama! and i need help?

i have very curly hair but have been straightning it for some time now. Ive been using BIOSILK to keep it somewhat nice and not nappy but now it doesnt seem to be working. I know that straightning isnt all that healthy and i was just wondering if there was something else out there that would help with the dried dead hair that i have now. I have a ceramic hair straightner if that matters. i use Fructis shampoo and conditioner and biosilk and still seem to have frizzy nappy hair ALL the time. help please lol

Hair drama! and i need help?
John Frieda's "Frizz Ease" line has worked wonders for me. I have naturally curly hair too and can't believe how well this works.

It's like I have someone else's hair.

The new products I rave about are: "Refresh" conditioner and "Downplay" for puffiness. Also use "Secret Weapon" on dry hair for an instant shot of shiny frizz control.

I sound like a commercial, but I mean every word. Get it at Target, it is not really expensive either. Which is a plus. Try it, it is worth every penny.

If you don't want to change brands. Nutrogena puts out a clarifying shampoo that strips residue and makes your old shampoo work well again.

Hope this helps.
Reply:Use a heat protector such as Thermasilk Their are many for all hair types and brands.

Get hair trimmed every 3 months (as much as needed)

Do V-05 hot oil as directed

Lower heat setting on straightener.

Only use harsh products(Irons,Sprays,Gel) when needed.

Wash hair every other day or wash daily but only apply shampoo to crown of head.

Use hair elaminator like Citre Shine only a dab needed.

Use leave in products with SPF.
Reply:I'd just say give your hair a break for about a week. If you REALLY need to straighten it I recommend a hot oil treatment to help with the frizziness and whatnot.
Reply:get a smoothing treatment done! please do it's worth the money. it will moisturize your hair and make the frizz go down. wash your hair only once a week! sounds gross but you need to do it. put in leave in conditioner, and use smootihng serum like paul mitchelle's. good luck hun and when you take a shower, wash your hair cold, heat makes it frizzy. plus it's summer... if you go to school then you dont have to worry until school starts again so lay off straightening for the summer, it's not worth it.
Reply:Aphogee Shampoo and reconstructor for extremly damaged hair, you can purchase it at Sally Beauty Supply. Amazing results! Also do not wash your hair but once every week and a half, so your natural oils start building up and get brushed through. Just spray with body spray no one will ever know. LOL sounds nasty but really works! Been there done that and I have the healthiest head of hair right now and I am addicted to the flat iron, color treat, sun, chlorine everyday just about all year round, and severly abuse my hair and this system really turned what used to be your problem around.
Reply:Once or twice a week you need to use a clarifying shampoo to clear all the build up out of your hair, it's not nappy, it's frizz from the buil up! Neutragena has a really good one! You should switch up on your shampoo about every 2 months, alternate between the 2 different brands, I use John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette and I alternate with Pantene!

Damaged hair help?

Okay...First of all my hair is down to my elbows and after i shower its kinda kinky..i used sunsilk anti poof then i use biosilk..My hair is still damaged. AND I CANT STOP STRAIGHTENING. its an addiction. it looks such a mess when its not straightened..but whe n i straighten it , it is feels smooth.. a little help? ived tried most of the hair products that helps damaged hair..biosilk works the best ;D

Damaged hair help?
well now you know you can get it back healthy time to go to the salon and have it trimed and done by a hair stylist
Reply:what kind of staightener do you use? try buyin a chi it is the best type of straightener ever and it doesnt damage or give your hair split ends!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!
Reply:you can use yogur it is wonderful for hair......try it and tell me.
Reply:This is what i do i read it on a magazine and it works well okay before you wash your hair put on your fav conditioner

on your dry hair leave it for 10 mins then wash off normal with shampoo and conditioner again.

you can also use sweet oil almond it works good on hair

also before bed braid your hair so that it wown't get damaged thats what i do and i have less split ends and less dry hair

and when you go out and its sunny try putting your hair on a pony tail hope that helps =]
Reply:Are you using a heat protector when you straighten? They come in alot of different ways. I like the sprays. You use this before you start to straighten your hair. Then after your done straighting you should get a glossing polish. All you need is alittle drop and run it threw all of your hair and it gives your hair more shine. You can get any of these at a beauty supplies store like Sally Beauty Supplies or a drugstore. Also you might want to think about getting a good deep conditioner or a cholesterol treatment and do this twice a week. Leave it on for about 15 to 20 mins. Hope this helped =]
Reply:use biolage hydratherapie.

thats what i use.

i straighten my hair every day.

also use a heat protector.
Reply:use a heat protections spay or balm b 4 u straighten or blow dry and use a leave in conditioner wen ur in bed and go for a lamar treatment at ur hairdressers it only costs about 4-9 pound that way ur hair will strenthen and be healthier and look alot more smooth n shiny

What's The Best-Smelling Smoothing or Anti-Frizz Shampoo/Conditioner Combo?

I know it's an odd question, but I can't stand it when shampoo smells like, well, shampoo. I'm not fond of the way the John Frieda Frizz-ease shampoo/conditioner smells, or the new Herbal Essences straightening one (the conditioner smells "off") or Biosilk... especially Biosilk. So, what do you guys think smells the best?

What's The Best-Smelling Smoothing or Anti-Frizz Shampoo/Conditioner Combo?
GARNIER FRUCTIS. It just rocks

STRAIGHTening??????

Has anyone ever tried BIOSILK STRATE? I don't want to know about biosilk therapy. If you have did it work good?Or is there something else I can try?

I have been using Frizz Ease Straight Answer Spray and Paul Michell Super Skinny Serum. They both work great on my thick long wavy frizzy hair, but I'm just about empty on the Frizz Ease Straight Answer and want to try something new that will help me straighten my hair as I blow dry and flat iron.

My sister in law is they only person that I know that has used BIOSILK STRATE and it works great on her hair. If I want she said she would buy it for me but I want to know what other people thought about it.

Thank you ;)
