I was just wondering if the Biosilk products do make your hair silky AND if they smell GOOD or NOT.
Does Biosilk make your hair silky?
It works very well. It makes my hair very silky and shiny, but I recommend Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Serum. It works much better and doesnt leave my hair oily like biosilk does and it is about $4.

How to use Solia, Biosilk, and Chi Thermal Spray?
Hello,
I recently bought a Solia hair straightener, Biosilk Silk Therapy Serum, and Farouk CHI 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray. What is the best way to use them? After showering, do I apply the serum, then dry my hair, and then use the thermal protection spray, then use the Solia? Or do I use both serum and the spray when my hair is wet and dry them together?
I read that Biosilk has alcohol in it and will in the long term, dry up your hair. How often should I use it to prevent this from happening?

biosilk will not dry up your hair! i dont use any of the other things you mentioned, but i have used biosilk for many years. you can put it in your hair any time you want to, but i think that it works best after a shower..towel dry your hair and put the biosilk all through it when your hair is still damp. i also put it on my skin and it makes it super smooth...i love this stuff :D

Everybody is mentioning biosilk...is it any good? I have frizzy, curly hair and every time I straighten it it really damages my hair! So many splitends!! What should I get?? My mom started using it when I was about 15 and I use to sneak in her bathroom and use hers I have super curly hair and sometimes its really hard to comb through Im now 20 and I have my own biosilk now, It seems to make my hair silky and it smells really clean and I use it when I Chi my hair to keep it from looking fried, I dont know if its just me but when I chi my hair with a flat iron i put it on the ends of my hair and its like magic!! but as much as I love it Im sure people are going to have some cons to using it, I suggest getting a sample size and trying it for yourself. Its a bit expensive however, but they make a small size thats about 12 dollars, I like this product because just using a little goes a long way,so a small bottle usually last me a while.

In warmer weather of course

the biosilk however is so strong that if ur not careful it can leaver pieces of ur hair permanently straight.. and since it heats a whole lot.. and fast.. u have to be careful that u dont leave it on ur hair for too long.. cuz it can burn it easily.. as for the chi it doesnt do that.

okay so for christmas i got a biosilk flat iron. my mom asked her hair dresser and she said it was a good one. is it? like will it make my hair straight, unfrizzed, and not poofy? if its not good my mom said we could get a new one cause she wants me to have a good one since i straighten my hair a lot. also do i need any certain products with it? i have been straightening my hair like 4 out of the 5 school days so i want to know if i should put protection on it. thanks for your help! merry christmas. and happy holidays!

You can use a heat protectant on your hair to prevent split ends, just make sure you hair is dry before you straighten. Nexxus and Dove make som realy good protectants and you can get them at Ulta or Wal - Mart. Fredrik Fekkai also makes a good one but it is expensive.

I used to use Biosilk to protect my hair during blow drying and prevent frizz, but my stylist said it has alcohol in it which I'm trying to avoid. The alcohol can actually make your hair drier.
Try a pure silicone like Simply Stylin' which doesn't have any alcohol or other stuff in it. It's just pure silicone with a great fragrance. Makes my hair shiny, soft and frizz-free. They give out free samples you can try at www.simplystylinhair.com.

Biosilk and another product???
I used to use Biosilk to protect my hair during blow drying and prevent frizz, but my stylist said it has alcohol in it which I'm trying to avoid. The alcohol can actually make your hair drier.
Try a pure silicone like Simply Stylin' which doesn't have any alcohol or other stuff in it. It's just pure silicone with a great fragrance. Makes my hair shiny, soft and frizz-free. They give out free samples you can try at www.simplystylinhair.com.

Ok, i heard of Biosilk and the girls that use it , their hair looks very silky ! but they straightens it with a straighenter and i dont straighen my hair nor blow dry .

no, you should have only used the dime size. that stuff makes your hair REALLY greasy, so i reccomend to not use it again, cause it doesn't give you great results. try CHI silk therapy. that stuff works so much better than biosilk. biosilk doesn NOT protect hair. it only greases it up and weighs it down. use garnier if you got good results, but CHI is also amazing. i've used both, and Garnier worked great, but i really love CHI.

I have dry, slightly frizzy wavy hair that has been through some stages of coloring and heat styling. I feel as if no products can make my hair feel baby soft or shiny. Can Biosilk Therapy help me? I would day that I wouldn't use it while heat styling because I heard it's a bad idea to.

I actually don't know too much about biosilk, but from what ive heard it's relatively unexpensive and isn't that great of a product. I really like the pureology products in moisturize, but i also have long colored treated hair. I also like the matrix products such as vavoom hair spray. Best of luck

Yes I have used it and I do really like it. Just do be careful and not apply alot and concentrate more on the middle and ends of your hair and not so much at the roots so it doesn't appear greasy ....

Reply:yes the biosilk serum is lightweight and will make your hair shiny but it only covers the damage of your hair. if your hair is damaged you should try and repair it with regular trims and not so much chemical/heat damage. try using a heat protector on damp hair before you blow dry and flat iron.

Has anybody ever tired biosilk silk? or any other biosilk products??
Yes I have used it and I do really like it. Just do be careful and not apply alot and concentrate more on the middle and ends of your hair and not so much at the roots so it doesn't appear greasy ....

Reply:yes the biosilk serum is lightweight and will make your hair shiny but it only covers the damage of your hair. if your hair is damaged you should try and repair it with regular trims and not so much chemical/heat damage. try using a heat protector on damp hair before you blow dry and flat iron.

Reply:I use 2 different lines, Joico and Biosilk. I absolutely love the biosilk.. It will definately improve the finished look however a spray on shine product is a better finish....

I am lookin4a hair product that will give great results.Im african american.My hair is very thick and tightly curled.I had a relaxer, but it is bout half way grown out.My hair is only a little bit longer dan shoulder length.Wat I usually do is this:Wash n Condition,apply garnier serum to wet hair,let hair airdry 90%,blow dry rest,
then flat iron. I want to replace garnier with biosilk serum.(garnier has worked AMAZINGLY for me, but have heard SOOO much bout biosilk).

I love it! I get so many compliments on how good my hair smells! I buy it at Sam's Club. I get the big size, and sure it's more expensive because it's bigger, but in the long run, your paying less for it. When you buy the little bottles, your actually paying more for it than it's worth. It's confusing, but it all balances out!

I recently bought a bottle of biosilk ( farouk silk therapy ) for hair but it says on the bottle that it can be applied to skin..Did anyone try it? Can u put it on face?

Yes, you can absolutely use it on your skin. I get eczema in the winter, and this helps me tremendously. It's a little oily if you apply it directly to your skin, so what I do is get the amount of lotion I would normally use and then add 2-3 drops of the silk therapy. I rub it in my palms and then apply.
It makes my legs feel fantastic after shaving, I love it! Sometimes when my cuticles get bad, I'll also rub some of it directly onto my nails. I use it in my hair as well of course, but you have to remember that a little goes a looooooooong way!

i have frizzy/wavy unmanageable hair and ive tried almost like every shampoo and deep conditioner on the market.. and i want to be able to have healthy looking hair so it doesnt look so dull and dead when i straighten it with a flat iron...im thinking about purchasing Biosilk...is it worth the money??

I really like the Silk Therapy Serum. It helps to tame the kinks and when I flat iron my hair, it's a lot smoother. I'd just recommend that you apply a little oil on your ends to tame the frizz that may be left over. I haven't used any of the other products, sorry.

I LOVE THIS STUFF. my friend let me try hers...and i'm heels over head over it. i really really want to buy it...but its really pricey....is there any homemade stuff that can be used to replace it?? what it does is...after i come out of the shower and let my hair dry, its so frizzy and poofy, biosilk makes it smooth down and flow more heavyish...and makes styling so much easier. and plus, it dosen't make it look greasier.

Reply:Biosilk has an awesome product called Silk Therapy and makes your hair much more manageable after it's washed. It's the best product I've found for my own hair. I don't know about the biosilk shampoo and conditioner although I've heard it's not very good. Good luck!
